Last Saturday, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng accompanied by an entourage of DAP state leaders officially opened the stretch of Jalan Lembah Permai Tanjung Bungah (Bukit Salbiah).
This stretch of road was funded by the Federal Government under the provisions of road maintenance and costs RM435, 000 under the supervision of the Public Works Department implemented by the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) Penang of the Prime Minister’s Office.
Regrettably, the Federal agencies has allowed Lim Guan Eng to steal the thunder in completion of the project. This is the second event where, Lim officially opened such project funded by the Federal government; the first at the opening of Jalan Persekutuan Batu Feringghi/ Telok Bahang in November 2016.
The DAP led state government has been known to claim credits when it is not due. As always, the ingredient of the cake is prepared or provided by the Federal government. Lim, only places the icing on the cake and gloat of his achievements published in the “Buletin Mutiara” a bi-weekly state funded propaganda media to the public.
